   Wind & Time - Speed - Distance

Magnetic Course

True Course (TC)    [o]
Variation (Var)    [o- E / + W
Magnetic Course (MC)    [o]

Enter any two fields (i.e. True Course, Variation or Magnetic Course)
then press "Eval" on any remaining field for that field's result.

Magnetic Heading

Magnetic Course (MC)    [o]
Wind Correction Angle (WCA)    [o- L / + R
Magnetic Heading (MH)    [o]

Enter any two fields (i.e. Magnetic Course, Wind Correction Angle or Magnetic Heading)
then press "Eval" on any remaining field for that field's result.

Compass Heading

Magnetic Heading (MH)     [o]
Deviation (Dev)     [o]   -  /  +
Compass Heading (CH)     [o]

Enter any two fields (i.e. Magnetic Heading, Deviation or Compass Heading)
then press "Eval" on any remaining field for that field's result.

True Heading

Magnetic Heading (MH)    [o]
Variation (Var)    [o- E / + W
True Heading (TH)    [o]

Enter any two fields (i.e. Magnetic Heading, Variation or True Heading)

Wind Triangle

          Main Variables

     Wind Direction (WD)  [o]
Wind Speed (WS)    [knots]    [km/h]    [sm/h]
     Heading (HDG)  [o]
True Airspeed (TAS)    [knots]    [km/h]    [sm/h]
     Course (CRS)  [o]
Ground Speed (GS)    [knots]    [km/h]    [sm/h]

Correlated Variables
Cross Wind Component (XWC)
    [knots] - L / + R    [km/h]    [sm/h]
Head Wind Component (HWC)
    [knots] - T / + H    [km/h]    [sm/h]
Crab Angle (CRA) or Wind Correction Angle (WCA)
  [o] - L / + R
Drift Angle* (DRA)
  [o] - L / + R

Unknown Variables* Note: The Drift Angle here is the angle that the aircraft would drift if the Crab Angle or
Wind Correction Angle were not applied. If the Crab Angle is applied the aircraft's Drift
Angle is the same as the Crab Angle but in the opposite direction.
    Known Variables

Specify the unknown variables then enter any field that is white and see the results on the green fields. Correlated
variables are calculated as a result of the main variables above. XWC and HWC may be entered in place of WD and WS.
WD and WS will be calculated as a result of XWC, HWC and CRS. If entering XWC and HWC be sure to have the CRS
set first. Showing decimal places does not affect the precision used in the calculations. Since results are calculated as data
is entered, be sure to enter all data before interpreting results.

Wind Components

Course (CRS)  [o]
Wind Direction (WD)  [o]
Wind Speed (WS)    [knots]    [Km/h]    [sm/h]
Cross Wind Component (XWC)    [knots] - L / + R    [Km/h]    [sm/h]
Head Wind Component (HWC)    [knots] - T / + H    [Km/h]    [sm/h]

Enter the CRS then enter WD and WS or XWC and HWC. When entering WD and WS the XWC and HWC will be calculated
based on the CRS. When entering XWC and HWC the WD and WS will be calculated based on the CRS.

Time - Speed - Distance

Time  s [hrs] [mins] [secs]
Speed   [knots]

  [ft/sec]
  [sm/h]
  [Nm/min]
  [m/s]
  [sm/min]
Distance   [Nm]  [Km]  [sm]  [ft]

Enter any two fields (i.e. Time, Speed, or Distance) in the box for the appropriate unit being used then press "Eval" for
the remaining field and get that field's result.

weight per volume (specific weight) based on temperature          [oC]      [oF]

Note: results for weight per volume (specific weight) are typically accurate up to one decimal point only. Due to the inherent variability of fuels even the same type of fuel may vary greatly depending on its origin. The figures provided here are a very rough estimate.
Values based on FAA-H-8083-1A, Aircraft Weight and Balance Handbook Chart, page 7-13.
protect type of fuel weight per volume parameters*

Enter any two fields (i.e. Time, Fuel Flow, or Fuel) in the box for the appropriate unit being used then press "Eval" for
the remaining field and get that field's result. Any calculation involving weight will be based on the Weight per Volume
parameter for the fuel selected. If changing the type of fuel after Fuel Flow or Fuel has been entered weights will
automatically change and volumes will remain constant.

*I have allowed the possibility of changing the fuel weight parameters in case you have a more precise value. Be very
     cautious when doing this.
